Wesley Brown is a co-founder, Managing Director, and served as the first President of St. Charles Capital.

Mr. Brown specializes in merger transactions and debt and equity financings for financial service companies. He has assisted companies in these strategic capital transactions since 1981, completing over 125 transactions totaling in excess of $3.5 billion. Since January 1, 1993, he has personally negotiated approximately half of all bank and thrift merger transactions that have occurred in Colorado and most of those that were large.

Mr. Brown served as Executive Vice President of The Wallach Company beginning in 1991 and managed The Wallach Division for KeyBanc Capital Markets after it was acquired through 2003. From 1981 to 1990, Mr. Brown served as Senior Vice President in the Corporate Finance Department of Boettcher & Company.

He holds an MBA from the Graduate School of Business, University of Chicago, where he graduated with Honors and a B.A. from the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he graduated with Distinction.

Mr. Brown has served as President or Chairman of the Board’s of the Denver Public Library Commission, Denver Public Library Friends Foundation, the Iliff School of Theology, Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, the Steering Committee to the Geography and Map Division of the Library of Congress, and the Rocky Mountain Map Society.
