Michael Hobbs is a Managing Director at St. Charles Capital.

Mr. Hobbs has more than 17 years of financial institutions experience including five as manager of KeyCorp’s Denver and Seattle investment banking offices. He has completed numerous transactions and advisory assignments in a wide variety of industries including energy, healthcare, consumer products, specialty manufacturing, telecom and technology.

Mr. Hobbs primary responsibilities at St. Charles Capital include sourcing, analyzing, processing, negotiating and closing transactions involving the sale, purchase, or financing of financial service companies.

Prior to joining St. Charles Capital, Mr. Hobbs served as Regional President of KeyBank’s Rocky Mountain Region, comprised of Idaho, Utah, and Colorado. There, Mr. Hobbs was responsible for overall banking operations including its retail, commercial lending, wealth management, investments and credit functions. He also served as President for KeyBank's Colorado District, and as Executive Vice President of Commercial Banking for Rocky Mountain and Southwest regions. Michael began his career at Bank of America (formerly known as NationsBank) where he specialized in the energy sector and co-founded the bank's corporate healthcare practice.

Mr. Hobbs earned a bachelor's degree in Marketing and an MBA with honors in Finance from Texas Christian University.

Mr. Hobbs has served on the board of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Colorado "I Have a Dream" Foundation. He is currently on the board of Junior Achievement.
